I know there's limited space on the servers but having an upload size limit isn't really a good solution to the problem. Think about it, will a person use up less space on the server due to the size limit? No, because now they'll just make many smaller maps instead one big map. So ultimately, you're ending up with the same space usage. Except now it's quantity over quality where each map is just simply worse due to the size constraints. So clearly a 1mb upload limit isn't the solution. But there is one, you see, right now if you check the community maps section, there are thousands of maps that are never played, these were made mostly by people who just wanted to check out the map editor feature, so they'll just make something in like 3mins and then host it and realize no one will join and then they'll never host the map again. So the map will never be played but it was take valuable space on the server forever. This is where my solution comes in. Make it so that after a map is uploaded, they'll get 5 days to hit a total gameplay time of 3 hours, if they fail to reach the goal, the map will be removed from the server. Now it'll still stay locally on their device so they can update and upload it again. But this will clear out all the unplayed maps and will also improve the overall quality of maps across the custom maps section. Now you can still have a limit, but it needs to be a lot higher so that we can upload actual quality maps. At least 5mb, I'd be happy if it's 10. Honestly it wouldn't have mattered to me if i hadn't spent 100s of hours on a map, the player LOVEBUG probably spent like a thousand hours considering the detail his maps had, it was just straight up wrong for you to randomly place a limit and undo all of our hardwork. I'm still holding onto hope, I have my map saved locally. Hopefully you'll listen and i will be able to upload it one day.
