Full UI and UX Rework for Forward Assault
Suggestion
Over the years, Forward Assault has had many features added, removed and changed. Because of that, the current UI feels outdated, inconsistent and overloaded in several areas.
At this point, small UI fixes are probably not enough anymore. I think the game would benefit a lot from a proper full UI and UX rework, ideally done by a professional UI/UX designer.
This would make the game look more modern, but more importantly, it would make the menus easier to use and create space for future features.
Main Problem
The current UI feels like it was made for an older version of the game and then expanded over time whenever new features were added.
Because of this, some areas feel empty, some areas feel crowded, and some newer additions do not really match the older style anymore.
A few general problems are:
• The menu structure does not scale well for future updates
• Some important features are hidden in places where they do not really belong
• Newer additions often feel added on top instead of properly integrated
• The visual style is not consistent across all menus
• Some screens have too much unused space while others feel cramped
• Navigation can be slow, especially when managing many items
Equipment and Inventory Rework
One of the biggest areas that needs improvement is the equipment and skin system.
Right now, equipping skins is annoying and time consuming, especially for players who own many skins. Navigating through weapons and skins should be much faster and more comfortable.
A proper inventory system would help a lot.
Players should be able to:
• See all owned skins in one clean inventory
• Filter skins by weapon, rarity, condition or type
• Search for specific skins
• Favorite skins
• Equip skins directly from the inventory
• Quickly compare owned skins
• Manage weapons, gloves and characters in a more organized way
The game could take inspiration from systems like Counter Strike. That kind of inventory layout is familiar, simple and easy to understand. It does not need to be copied one to one, but a clean inventory grid with filters, favorites and quick equip options would already be a big improvement.
Community Maps
Community maps should have their own dedicated browser.
Right now, they feel hidden inside the Play section, which makes them look like a small side feature instead of something that could be important for the game.
Battle Pass Section
The Battle Pass should also get its own full section.
Right now, it feels more like a small menu widget instead of an important seasonal feature. It works, but it does not feel exciting or polished.
A better Battle Pass page could show the full reward track, premium rewards, free rewards, season progress, missions and remaining time in one proper area.
A layout similar to games like Overwatch could work well here, where the Battle Pass has its own dedicated screen and feels like a real part of the game.
Clan Section
The clan area also needs a bigger rework.
At the moment, clans do not feel very important. The section is very basic and mostly feels like a simple list with names, tags, member counts and join buttons.
A better clan section could include:
• Clan profiles
• Clan logos or banners
• Clan descriptions
• Clan statistics
• Clan leaderboards
• Member lists
• Better search and filters
• Clan activity information
This could make clans feel like a real part of the game instead of just a small menu feature.
Stats and Profile Section
The profile page could also show much more useful information.
Right now, the stats are very basic. There is a lot of potential to make profiles more interesting.
The profile section could include:
• More detailed weapon stats
• Accuracy and headshot percentage per weapon
• Match history
• Favorite weapons
• Ranked history
• Best maps
• Recent performance
• Player badges or achievements
• Showcase slots for favorite skins
This would give players more reasons to check their own profile and other players’ profiles.
Settings Rework
The settings menu should also be reorganized.
Instead of having many options placed together in one long screen, settings should be split into clear categories.
For example:
• Graphics
• Audio
• Controls
• HUD
• Crosshair
• Gameplay
• Accessibility
This would make the settings easier to use and would also create space for more options in the future.
Visual Consistency
The game needs one consistent visual direction.
Buttons, icons, panels, fonts, spacing, colors and animations should all feel like they belong to the same game.
Some newer assets and UI additions feel noticeably less polished than older parts of the game. Branding elements, logos and important graphics should be made properly in high quality, ideally as clean vector assets or professionally exported images.
If new features are added, they should match the overall style and not feel like quick placeholders.
Why This Matters
A full UI and UX rework would improve the game in many ways:
• The game would look more modern
• New players would understand the menus faster
• Existing players would save time
• Features would be easier to find
• Future updates would be easier to integrate
• The game would feel more polished and professional
• Important systems like inventory, clans, stats, Battle Pass and community maps could stand out properly
Conclusion
Forward Assault has changed a lot over the years, but the UI has not kept up with all those changes.
The current interface still works, but it feels outdated, inconsistent and not ready for many more features. Instead of continuing to add new things into the existing layout, the game should get a proper full UI and UX redesign.
A professional designer could rebuild the menu structure, clean up the visual style, improve navigation and include many quality of life improvements at the same time.
This would be one of the most important updates for making Forward Assault feel modern again.
