I will go throught several points and perspectives here:

Topic of Gold for a new player, who cant spend irl money (this is the majority of PC players in regular servers, usually its kinds that still go to school and cant afford to pay money):

If im a new PC player and cant spend money how do i get gold?
right now only way is Battlepass. You can get 150 gold in this BP.
This is bascially nothing. You can afford basic skins but thats it.
PC players cant get any good skins because they dont have the system to obtain gold on a regular. This is clearly a disadvantage to mobile players. They can regularly watch ads to get 10 gold and get 150 gold from the BP.

If im a new PC player and cant spend money how do i get credits?
You have 2 ways of earning credits. You can get it by playing the game and by playing the free Battlepass part. Form the BP you get 1.000 credits.

Lowest weaponsprices for a primary weapon is 210.000.

How do I afford to get the lowest weapon in this game without spending money? Answer: You dont. Right now you simply dont...

Im a player who is able to spend money would I spend gold on the Battlepass?

No i woudnt. The credits on the boght BP give me 2.800 credits. So even with the bought BP i wouldnt be able to reach a Weapon... The skins in the BP I would rather buy from the market, if i liked one... Its cheaper to buy them from there than to buy the BP.

So from a PC players standpoint the current BP is just not worth anything... Even if i could buy the BP.

I also attached a file where u get just a little summery of people saying something about Credits and Gold in PC version. If you want to look deeper in it just go on Discord and typ Credits into search you will finde a lot of more people saying something about the prices and earing for PC.

Summery: Either change the earning system for PC (in like normal killing earning and BP earning) or bring down the Weapon prices to the mobile knife level, than you wouldnt have to change something about the earning system. But definitly change something.

Right now PC weapons is pay to win. Thats frustrating for the majoyrity of normal PC players...

I agree with the general point that the current currency situation on PC is not in a good state, but I see the problem a bit differently.

Gold was clearly meant to be a premium currency from the start, so mainly something you get through spending real money.
The problem is that over time, systems like community ranked and other sources pushed way too much gold into circulation.
Because of that, the gold value got heavily diluted.
At this point, it almost feels like more gold exists in circulation than was ever actually bought directly, and that is also one of the reasons why Marketplace prices became so inflated.

So for PC specifically, I do not think the answer should simply be "give out much more gold".
In my opinion, gold should still remain a premium currency on PC.

Credits are a different story.
Since skins can no longer be bought the way they used to, credits have lost a lot of their actual purpose.
That is why I think the bigger debate should not mainly be about giving more gold, but about the whole weapon system on PC.

To be honest, I think all weapons on PC should just be free to play.
That business model was already criticized back in the Bullet Force days, and for good reason.
Very few games still use this kind of system, because it pushes players away instead of motivating them to come back.

If they do not want to change the weapon unlock system and still want weapons to cost credits, then credits need a full rebalance.
In that case:
  • credit prices need to come down a lot
  • credit earning on PC needs to be rebalanced properly
  • mobile and PC rewards should be clearly separated

Right now, mobile gets far too many credits compared to PC, and that makes the whole economy even more distorted.

So in my view, the currency discussion is not just "PC needs more gold".
The real issue is that the entire currency system has been damaged:
  • gold lost too much of its premium value
  • credits lost most of their purpose
  • weapon pricing on PC is outdated and frustrating
  • mobile and PC progression are not balanced against each other

So yes, something definitely needs to change.
But I think the best solution would be either:
  • make all weapons free to play on PC
  • or fully rebalance credits and separate PC economy properly from mobile

Right now, the system is in a bad spot overall.

thank you for your insight.

I personally say the bigger issue is on the credit system. I still wanted to put out Gold topic too but credits is more important (see discord comments they are more on the credits topic).

I personally am not a fan of all weapons free. Because I love the concept of playing a little while and for the engangement in the game you get rewarded with new weapons.

I personally say you need to save a bit to get weapons. But the point is *save a bit* not years!!!

As a new player you need to see progress on getting close to new weapons. Because this way the game gets interesting and you get people actually engaged into the game because they play and see progress getting close to a new weapon...

So the first better weapons need to be unlocked in couple of days max of 2 weeks you should receive a new better weapon. This way a person sees a yes i can play a week or 2 weeks the game and get my first new gun. So playing the game regularly gives you new guns. This way people will come back because they see the progress of getting close to weapons.

The more expensive and best guns like Fal, AK and M98 and stuff like that should need you *to save a month or max 2 months saving for it*. So to unlock all weapons it still takes longer time...
So the longer and regular play the game you get rewarded. But you allways see the progress and on a regular get new guns too. So you dont get frustrated but still have to stick around to get all guns.

The BP would still help you to reduce time to play. But it should take 1 BP and some personal saving by playing to unlock expensive weapons.

There will still be people that say i dont want to save 1 or 2 Months to get only 1 better expensive gun. So those people would probaply still use Money to get credits... So the income thing for Devs would still be there... But it would be fair for those who simply cant afford using irl money...
